An old written parchment dating back since 416 AD, describes the existence of a beautiful gallo-romaine villa. It was destroyed during the French Revolution ; then the current Chateau Auzias was build early 19th century under the Napoleon Bonaparte reign.
After 1872 Léon and Emile Auzias developed important wine sale distributions from Languedoc to the East of France, and created the brand name and labels still used today by the estate.
In 1926 Eugène Auzias as a visionary, was the first winemaker to plant Atlantic grape varieties in Languedoc (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon).
In 1998 Dominique Auzias inherits of the family Estate and gives it a new vision by improving considerably the quality of the production and developing a solid network in many countries around the world.
Today, Nathalie and Dominique Auzias, with their chidren, have restructure the vineyards, cellars and development the commercial network in the world. The Chateau Auzias-Paretlongue with its particularly characteristics of Cabardès with its 160 hectares in one piece is certainly one of the largest private wine estates of Languedoc.
